Liam Jefferies (Senior Playworker/Director)

Hi, my name is Liam, I have been working at Sparks for about 8 years now. I started volunteering and helping out when I was still at school aged 14. It was cool because I was only getting a little bit of extra pocket money but I felt proud as that was my first job. Carole, who is the manager of Sparks and also funnily enough my mum employed me as a part-time play worker when I was 16 and I’ve been working here ever since. When I’m not at Sparks you might see me out and about cruising the streets of Bristol on my skateboard. I also enjoy making videos, chilling with friends and being very lazy! Ha ha.

Charlie Wilson (Playworker/Director)

Hi I’m Charlie, I have been working at Sparks for almost 6 years, after first starting out as a child attending Sparks I then became a Junior Playworker and I am now a qualified play worker. I am currently working Monday – Friday at Sparks, working at the breakfast club, tiny sparks club, Afterschool club and holiday club. I help do a lot of planning for the club as well as some admin and the general day to day running of the club. I really love being a play worker and have recently just finished my Level 2 in Playwork and am now currently completing my NVQ Level 3 in Playwork. In my spare time I like socialising with my friends & family, photography, sewing, going to gigs, travelling, cooking and cycling.

Ellie Hookham (Senior Playworker)

Hi, my name is Ellie and I have been working at Sparks for around 2 years now. I started as a director and playleader, working every Tuesday. I stood down as a director at the end of last year but continue to work every Tuesday afternoon. I only work one day as I also work at BAND as a childcare development and support worker. Sparks however allows me playtime with children which is always the highlight of my week! Aswell as work, I also enjoy arts and crafts, sparkle, cupcake making and reading.

I am currently studying for an NVQ 3 in playwork with Camilla and Charlie.
